Monday- Weekend Wrap up- Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards review

The Glitz and Glam of the MVCA's

This weekend was one to remember as the Mzansi viewers choice awards took place for the very first time at the Sandton convention centre hosted by the Queen herself Bonang.  She brought class and elegance to the well planned event.

Here are some of her looks from the night,  her glam squad never disappoints:

Some of the winners from the night included:

Sjava- Rising star- he gave an amazing speech citing that he is a rising star at the age of 33, which shows that your dreams can come true

Thembisa Mdoda- Best Presenter- She truly deserved this award as she is one of the most talented people on our screens at the moment, her caring nature is vividly showcased onto our television screens every Sunday on Our perfect wedding. she will be missed as she closes this chapter.

Summary- Favourite Comedian. The comedian reigning from orange farm, surpassed the likes of Skhumba, Celeste Ntuli to get the nod from the viewers. He expressed his gratitude to those who took to their time to vote for him.

Themba Ndaba- Favourite Actor- This man is talented and deserves this award as he entertains us everyday on the Queen. Sometimes I wonder if he really gets a script or he just freestyles. Pity he wasn't present to accept his award

Black Coffee- Favourite DJ He has to be one of the most hardest working individuals in the industry. And is doing a splendid  job of flying the flag high for us. His beautiful wife collected his award on his behalf .

There were performances from various artists such as,

DJ Cleo and Winnie Khumalo- their performance was good

Thandiswa Mazwai, King Tha is a performer of note

Aka and Anatti who performed their hit Don't forget to pray, it seemed Anatti's mic might have had a problem as we couldn't hear a single word form him

Cassper Nyovest graced the stage perfroming Destiny and his club hit Tito Mboweni, he knows how to get a crowd going,

My best performance of the night however  was Bra Hugh Masekela who gave us a priceless performance, he is getting older but his voice is still as angelic as ever. His charisma lit up the whole venue.

3 Best dressed for me :

Pearl Thusi
Thembis Mdoda

Enhle Mbali Maphumulo

The awards were top notch, from the staging, lights, performances as well as the outfits. Bonang did a splendid job as host,  we may a have our opinions about her but presenting is something she aces and probably could do it in her sleep. I'm certainly looking forward to the awards next year.

Did you watch? who was a miss and hit for you? lets share
