Monday Weekend Review- Looking back at the weekend that was

It's always sad to part ways with weekends especially when they are as entertaining as the last one.

Here are some highlights.

Meet your Top 4 Idols

This week we said goodbye to Faith, to be quite honest her time had run out from last weeks performance. As per usual Paxton came to do what she does best, which is to sing her pipes off. She sang a rendition of Alicia Keys anthem ''in common''  even receiving a wuuu shem from Somgaga himself who looked on point. Phindy also  brought her A game with her interpretation of Beyoncé's hit song '' I ain't sorry'' the outfit was also on point and appropriate for the song. The boys also did their best, Bothlale sang Charlie Puth's  '' One call away'', I must say that he has done a brilliant job so far in terms of choosing the right song for his voice. Mthokozisi who was the last contestant to know his fate, also proved why people are voting for him week in and week out. He sang Justin Biebers '' what do you mean'' and also received a wuu shem. The competition is getting heated, and it is important to keep voting for your favourite in hopes that they will come out victorious.

OPW does it again

Cheating seems to be normalised when it comes to the guests on OPW. Meet Kgosi who caught his brides mothers eye after she saw him sing, and came to the conclusion that he would make a perfect son in law. And that is how it happened, today they are a married couple. Kgosi has been a cheater, and even admitted that he would try do it discreetly but people would interfere in his business . The nerve to even admit to that on television. And for Matshepo to believe that he would stop after getting married baffles me. Kgosi says he has changed his ways because now they have a child together, which is very questionable. However lets move on to the actual wedding, the décor for the first day was quite average  I didn't particularly like the shininess of the table clothes and everything else. But the décor for the second day was very nice, for once the blue looked decent than previous weddings we've witnessed. The bride and her bridal party looked beautiful as well as the groom and his groomsmen. I really appreciate Nomsa Buthelezi and her talent as well as her efforts in ensuring that we are entertained every Sunday. She does a phenomenal job.

Some reactions from twitter

Imagine an episode of that didn't involve cheating. I know man....but just imagine😍

Ne ke mo cheat'a hantle...but there were people who were interfering

Matshepo's mother had been eyeing church singer Kgosi for her daughter. Now he is her son-in-law!

He's not going to stop CHEATING & now ur committing the rest of ur life with him?!

Kgosi says "i used to cheat on him hantle (well)".
Food tasting , but that's a full plate though

The imposter

Okay I have come to a conclusion, If Mantwa is not found or caught next week I will not be wasting my time by watching.  There are so many scenes that are so questionable, like the husband can't distinguish the difference between his wife and her twin. The actors and actresses are of  a high calibre no doubt but the storyline is lacking. To think that there are 9 more weeks till the last episode really disturbs me. If nothing changes next week, they can miss me and seems I am not alone. Here are some reactions.

Can you imagine your own partner of many years can’t tell a difference between u and your sis? Thats an insult.

This should have been a short story loxion bioskop shandis not a series.🤔

that's it I am no longer watching this ...

When is the season finale of cause 😴

If they don't catch her today, next week I'm not watching.

This guy is one of SA's best... Ceasar🔥🔥🔥

 WEEKEND SPORTS

Mamelodi Sundowns have crashed out of the Telkom Knock Out, after suffering a loss to Chippa United in Mdantsane.  Jules ensured that they qualify to the next round with a cracker of a goal. Mamelodi Sundowns haven't secured a win from their past 3 games. Things are not looking great for Mosimane's boys, hopefully they will be able to bounce back as they face an on form Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.

In other matches, it seems Benny Marcathy's luck has run out after suffering a loss to Baroka FC. This is Cape Town City's 4th loss in a row.

The TKO2017 draw took place after the Chippa and Sundowns match, here are the results:

Bidvest Wits - Baroka FC

Platinum Stars- Bloemfontein Celtic

Chippa United - Kaizer Chiefs

Orlando Pirates - Polokwane City

Looking forward to the next round of games, expecting them to be as fiery as the first round. And that's it for this weeks weekend review. And as per usual here is my best dressed.
