Monday Weekend Wrap up- Wrapping up the weekend that was
So many things happen in the space of two days called the weekend. The drama never ends in this beautiful country of ours. I will be highlighting some of the events that caught my eye especially Sunday TV.
It is quite evident that if you don't vote for your favourite, you might just see them walk away . Just like what happened to Thapelo last night , she has the voice of an angel and very talented however she found herself having to leave the competition, so it is quite vital that we vote to keep them safe. My favourite performer of the night has to be Mthokozisi, he may not have the biggest voice compared to the rest of the contestants but he has the determination and drive to push on as we see his improvement week in and week out. Even the judges lamented that he had a great performance singing I believe I can fly by R Kelly. I must admit that this years idols isn't the best in terms of the contestants talent levels compared to the previous seasons of the show. however I am not saying that they are not great singers but its all about ''amalevels''.
From the first words our bride and groom uttered my mouth was on the floor. I didn't think I would see the day where someone would admit to face bricking someone, like our bride. She knew that her now husband was with another woman who happened to be carrying his child. That did not halt her plans because here they are today as Mr and Mrs. Not to mention that the groom has 4 children and she has 2 and they yet to have children together the mess!. what finished it off for me was the friend who unashamedly admitted to encouraging her friend to take the man away from his previous relationship. I found that very disturbing having friends like that, she has taken supportive to another level.
Moving on to the actual wedding , it was not too bad I must say that the brides make up was on point and I could see that she also noticed that she was looking like a zinger wing all made up for her big day.but there's something I found a bit disturbing and questionable which was the brides Versace shoes and grooms apparent Gucci shoes, Davido surly mislead people with the line from his hit fall "Versace and Gucci for your body" now everybody seems to be succumbing to the peer pressure. This weeks wedding showed that people can do things for the wrong reasons, such as proving to people that '' I have him now ", I find it very pathetic and childish however I wish them all the luck in the world.
It had been a while since we experienced such brilliancy, from the production to the actors and actresses who made it all worth while. The finale was nothing short of nail gripping drama and intensity as Skroof and his amaroto faced off with Chilli and Skhakhane, and as usual Skroof proving that he is a starring as he was the only one alive after all his amaroto were killed off. My favourite scene from last night was when chilli indulged himself in that beautiful beast of a Mustang. We are truly appreciative and grateful to have witnessed such a production we look forward to a season two in the near future.
And that's how I viewed this weekend. What are your thoughts about this weekends shenanigans? lets share :)
