Tuesday Top 5- Hidden gems of the traveling world

If you haven't made plans as yet for the December holidays, why not take a short left and head to these destinations in our very own backyard. Try something different, and take a road trip to these places .These are some of the hidden gems we have.

Lake Fundudzi



 

Right at the foot of the Luaname Mountains in Venda, lies a beautiful lake that is ready to be explored. It is surrounded by beautiful lakes, rivers as well as forests.


Pondoland Marine




Located in the Eastern Cape's wild coast, south east of Durban. Named after the local community, it is a place of beauty and serenity. If you're lucky you might get to witness the diversity of  the marine life.


Riemvasmaak hot springs

 


 

Nature is one beautiful thing,  take a short left and bask in the experience of the naturally hot springs. They are located in the border of Namibia, it is not only rich in nature but history too. here is what you can look forward too

  • Three 4x4 routes that include sand and rocky driving
  • Three hiking trails for the average hiker
  • Mountain bike route with sand and rock terrain
  • Bird watching – Black Eagle, Namaqua Dove

 Inanda Mountain viewpoint



The Inanda dam lies within the Valley of a Thousand Hills, approximately 40km from Durban. The views are spectacular and breath taking.

Chrissiesmeer lake district



Centred around the country's largest fresh water lake Chrissie. It is home to 270 wetlands, lakes, and rivers. If you're lucky enough you might get a glimpse of the flamingos who make a brief stop.
